Monday Bee Crafty - 4 hearts for you

Hi everyone, time to share another of my Bee Crafty DT projects with you all and this week I've been playing with the Style Wire Hearts.

Materials
What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and 2 pieces of white card slightly smaller again.
  • Smoosh some of the Distress Oxides on to a blending mat and spritz with water, drag one of the white pieces of card through the Oxides and then dry with a heat tool.  Repeat this, occasionally flicking water until you achieve the look you are after.
  • On the other piece of white card use Versafine ink to stamp 4 hearts, then use a craft knife to cut the centre of the hearts out.  Glue this card to the blended oxide card, then mat both to the black card and attach to the card blank.
  • Finish by adding a stamped sentiment.

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - Doctors & Nurses

Hi bloggers, I'm back to share my final blog post for the latest For The Love Of Stamps by Hunkydory launch, and it's time to show what I designed using the very cute Doctors & Nurses stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment using Versafine ink down the left hand side of a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank, and matted on to black card before attaching to the card blank.  I stamped 2 images and added colour using Kuretake Zig pens (063, 028, 026, 091, 096, 022, 037) then cut out and glued to the card.  I finished by adding a stamped sentiment and a stethoscope.

I cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.  I took the white card and using Lucky Clover Distress Ink, stamped the heart trace all over.  I matted this to the black card, and glued to the card blank.  I stamped the bed, added colour using my Kuretake Zig pens (061, 062, 091, 028, 042), cut out and attached to the card using foam pads.  I finished by adding a stamped sentiment.

I matted some yellow stripey paper (Splendid Stripes paper pad) to a DL card blank.  I cut 3 small squares of white card, stamped the sentiment and images, then added colour with Kuretake Zig pens (091, 028, 062, 022, 038) before matting to yellow squares - these were attached using foam pads.  I finished by adding a few white gems.

That is it for this launch, I hope you enjoyed seeing my designs.

Happy Crafting!

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - Just My Cup Of Tea

Hi everyone, I'm back to share some more of my DT samples for the new For The Love Of Stamps by Hunkydory launch... next up is the Just My Cup Of Tea stamps and mask set.  The sentiments with this set are just lovely, and we all know someone who loves a cuppa!

I stamped the teapot and teacup on to a smaller square of card (I stamped the cup first, masked off then stamped the teapot), coloured using my Kuretake Zig pens (050, 052) then added the sentiment in the centre of the teapot.  On the larger white square of card I stamped the sentiment around the edges, and a flower in each corner, adding colour again using my Kuretake pens.  I then matted on to silver mirri card before attaching to the card blank.

I masked off a panel and stamped various images in this (using Onyx Black Versafine ink and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide), matted on to black card and attached this to another piece of white card which had been matted on to black card - both were glued to the card blank.  I used Versafine ink to stamp a teacup and teapot on to white card, added colour using my Kuretake Zig pens (082, 083, 081, 080, 052), cut out and attached to the card.  I finished by adding a sentiment and some pearls.

I used the outer edge of the mask to blend some Hickory Smoke around a square of white card, and matted this to a square of white card with edges distressed with Mustard Seed Distress Ink, and glued to the card blank.  I stamped a teapot and teacups, and used the mask to add some colour and detail, then applied some Glossy Accents over these.  Once dry I carefully cut them out, and used foam pads to attach to the centre of the card.  I finished by adding some stamped flowers and a sentiment.

I hope you like what I designed using the gorgeous new stamps, I'll be back later with my final blog post showing what I created using the next set of stamps.

For The Love Of Stamps DT Samples - A Mice Day

Hi everyone, it's time for the new stamp launch by For The Love Of Stamps by Hunkydory, and first up is A Mice Day!  Loving how cute these wee guys are, and I absolutely love the 'Hang in there' sentiment.

Created a background by stamping one of the mice over a piece of white card, I then stamped a sentiment on to a strip of white card, matted both onto black card then attached to the card blank.  I added some colour using my Kuretake Zig pens, and finished by adding a stamped mouse beside the sentiment. Pens used 091, 092, 083, 028, 045, 050.

I stamped the corn using Onyx Black Versafine ink, and added some colour using my Kuretake Zig pens (041, 063, 072, 036).  I stamped the mouse on to a piece of white card, coloured him in then cut him out. I used a craft knife to cut along the piece of corn I wanted him to hang over and glued him in behind it .  I finished by adding a stamped sentiment in the bottom corner.

I created a background by blending some Crushed Olive Distress Ink through the mask, and matted this onto black card before adhering to the card blank.  I took a smaller square of white card and blended Tumbled Glass Distress ink all over, and then blended Crushed Olive Distress Ink through the grass section on the mask.  I added some clouds by blending more Tumbled Glass through those sections on the mask, and finished by stamping the corn and adding some mice and a sentiment.

That's it for this blog post peeps, I'll be back soon to share my next set of cards with you using one of the other fab stamp sets.

What you need

What to do
  • Cut some black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and some white slightly smaller again.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Da Vinci samples for Hochanda

Hi everyone, I've been busy the past few weeks designing samples for the recent Bee Crafty shows on Hochanda... this time round I was playing with the Da Vinci stamps and here is what I came up with.

Materials

Background created using S.Marmalade, V.Photo & B.China Distress Oxides.  Science Of Beauty and Laurel Border stamped using Versafine ink.

Background created using B.China Distress Ink & Oxide.  Sforza Horse stamped using Versafine ink - stamped around the edge of the card using a section of the Science Of Beauty stamp.

Stamped the wings and Vitruvian Man using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder.

Created a shadow box card from 2 pieces of 7" x 7" cardstock.  Stamped the script on the outer panel, the crackle on the inner panel and the Vitruvian Man using using W.Stain ink.

Background created using T.Citron, S.Shutters, P.Paint & C.Olive inks. Stamped the script using P.Paint ink, and also blended this through the Distressed Harlequin.  Stamped the Sforza horse using Versafine ink, and added some colour using P.Paint and a water brush.

The central purple square was achieved by smooshing some D.Concord ink on an acrylic block, spritzing with water and pressing the block to the centre of the card.  Leave for 5 minutes for colour to intensify, remove then dry using heat tool.  I stamped the Science Of Beauty using Versafine ink.  Finished by adding Ticker Tape sentiments.

Panel masked off with tape, I blended P.Raspberry & P.Feathers in this to achieve the colours, then blended some ink through the Distressed Harlequin Dinkable.  I also took a damp baby wipe and rubbed through some of the Distressed Harlequin.  I stamped a few butterflies in this panel too, then removed the masking tape.  The Science Of Beauty and Laurel Border was stamped using Versafine ink.

I really had fun playing with these stamps, and I hope you like what I created using them.  Please remember to pop on over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to see the fabulous creations my team mates have came up with.  Be back next week with a new project to share with you all.

Imagine Design Create DT post - Flamingo... if you want to fly

Hi bloggers, for this week’s Imagine Design Create DT project I want to share with you a CAS card I made.  This card was super quick to make, and I personally love the bright block of pink with the monochrome.

Materials

What to do
  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank and white card slightly smaller again.
  • Take a square acrylic block, and squish some distress ink on to it then spritz with water.  Quickly turn the acrylic block over and place on the centre of the white card.  Leave for a few minutes to allow the colour to intensify.
  • Remove the acrylic block, and dry the card using a heat tool.
  • Use Versafine to stamp the flamingo on the pink square, and a sentiment in the bottom right corner.
  • Mat this to the black card, and glue to the card blank.
  • Finish by adding 3 black gems.

Monday Bee Crafty DT post - Distress Oxide Butterfly

Hi everyone it's Monday so that means I'm up again on the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog to share another Bee Crafty DT project.  This week I am having another play with my Distress Oxides.

What you need to make this card

What to do -
  • Take the card blank and cut it to 4" to give a tent fold card.
  • Cut black card slightly smaller and white card smaller again.
  • Place the inkables template over the white card and run through a die cutting machine to emboss the pattern.
  • Use blending foam to add some Distress Oxides to the card, and flick some water droplets on to this.  When dry, mat on to the black card and glue to the card blank.
  • Stamp the large butterfly using Versafine ink and colour in with Oxides and a water brush, cut out and glue to the card (only add glue to the centre of the butterfly so you can raise the wings to give some dimension to your card).
  • Stamp a sentiment using Versafine ink, cut out and mat on to black card.  Attach to the card using foam pads.
I'll be back next Monday with another project for you, thank you so much for dropping by.

Imagine Design Create DT post - playing with the new stencils

Hi everyone, the fab news is Imagine Design Create have brought out their own range of stencils...and they're amazing!  I got a chance to play with some of them this week, and for my blog post this week I'm sharing a couple of cards I made.

What you will need

I inked through the circle and stripes using distress ink, and highlighted sections of the circles using a white gel pen.  I matted this on to black card, and glued this to the card blank.  I finished off by adding a stamped sentiment to the centre with foam pads.

I inked through one of the circle stencils using Twisted Citron, and through the smaller circles using Picked Raspberry.  I tied a piece of pink ribbon around the side of the card, and then matted this on to a pink edged card, then a green edged card before gluing to the card blank.  I finished by stamping a sentiment in the bottom circle using Versafine ink.

I hope you like my designs using the new range of stencils, pop on over to the Imagine Design Create blog to see some more fab projects my team mates have made.

Hochanda samples for Bee Crafty

Hi everyone, for this weeks Bee Crafty blog post I'm sharing the samples I made for Sam's recent shows on Hochanda.

Materials -

I cut white card slightly smaller than the card blank, and blended a circle of Squeezed Lemonade DI in the centre of the card.  I then used Versafine ink to stamp the moon on this yellow circle, masked it off then carefully blended Chipped Sapphire and Dusty Concord distress inks all over the rest of the card - heavier at the edges and lighter towards the centre.  I then used Versafine to stamp some wildflowers along the bottom, then blended Black Soot DI around the edges of the card.  I finished by adding some ticker tape sentiments, and some white gesso paint flicks.

I cut various mats and layers from white and black card stock.  I took the smallest white square and blended Candied Apple Distress Oxide through the heart easy frame, I then flicked water droplets on this and dabbed with some kitchen roll.  I placed the inkable heart over, then flicked some Black Soot Distress Oxide over the card.  I finished by adding some faux stitching with a black pen, some ticker tape sentiments and a few butterflies.  I matted and layered and glued to the card blank.

I cut various mats and layers from white and coloured card.  On the smallest white square I blended some Spiced Marmalade through the maple leaf, I then placed the actual leaf over the blended leaf and blended some Vintage Photo around the edges... this gave the 3D effect seen above.  I stamped a bird using Vintage Photo, used a water brush to add some colour, and added a few ticker tape sentiments.  I finished by adding some gems, matted and layered and glued to the card blank.

I masked off an area of the card and blended some Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron in it, I kept the masking tape in place and then using Versafine ink to stamp the wildflowers.  I carefully removed the masking tape, added a few stamped butterflies and a ticker tape sentiment.  I finished by adding some gems, before matting to some black card and attaching to the card blank.

I cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.  On the white square of card I blended some Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord through the circle easy frame.  Keeping the circle template in place, I used Versafine ink to stamp the wildflowers.  I finished by adding some ticker tape sentiments and a few gems before matting to the black card, and attaching to the card blank.

I cut brown card slightly smaller than the card, and white card slightly smaller again.  I used a scoreboard to score lines across the white card, then blended some Vintage Photo around the edges before matting it to the brown card and gluing to the card blank. On spare white card I blended various colours of Distress Ink through the maple leaf template, and cut each leaf out.  I arranged these around the card, and finished by adding a sentiment and some stamped butterflies.

I really enjoyed playing with these stamps, and I hope you like what I designed using them.  Please pop over to the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog and you can see the fabulous creations my team mates have came up with.  I'll be back next week to share another project with you all.
